Welcoming Shannon Phillips
Shannon’s extensive experience in public policy, governance, and leadership brings an invaluable perspective to our clients.
Shannon has spent more than two decades working on energy, environmental policy, and climate leadership. As the former Minister of Environment and Parks and Minister Responsible for the Climate Change Office in Alberta, she spearheaded transformative initiatives, including Alberta’s Climate Leadership Plan, which successfully phased out coal, expanded renewable energy, and launched energy efficiency programs that created jobs and boosted the province’s GDP.
Her expertise doesn’t stop there. Shannon also led Alberta delegations to UN climate conferences in Paris and Marrakech, representing the province on the international stage. She is an experienced campaigner, having won three elections as a progressive candidate in Southern Alberta, a testament to her strategic thinking and grassroots leadership.
Shannon’s deep connection to community is evident through her work with the Blackfoot people of southern Alberta, where she holds the honor of a Blackfoot Headdress and name. Her dedication to fostering meaningful relationships and driving positive change is a perfect fit for our firm’s values.
